The Health and Care Administration, with its approximately 1500 employees, is one of the administrations in Mölndal and includes elderly care, support for people with disabilities, and health care.

Havrekornsgatan 15 is a service residence with 11 users. The individuals living here have different levels of mental disabilities.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a support pedagogue, you play a key role in the quality work, methods, and working methods of the operation. You are responsible for the pedagogical work and are a knowledge resource in the work team. You act as support and guide for the work group and also function as management support. You guide the work group based on the needs and methods of the operation. You ensure that social documentation and implementation plans according to IBIC are established, further developed, and followed according to laws and guidelines. The role of the support pedagogue also includes collaboration with other key persons from our operations, and you contribute to strengthening the forms of cooperation.

You are responsible for method meetings and other competence development and are comfortable leading groups. As support, you are offered guidance from method developers and you are part of a network with other support pedagogues in the area.

You also participate in direct work and support users with social and practical interventions both inside and outside the residence. You provide professional support by empowering the user in their daily life. All work is based on the user's individually established implementation plan.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who

  • Has relevant post-secondary education as a support pedagogue or other education that the employer assesses as equivalent.
  • Has good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing.
  • Has experience working with individuals with mental disabilities.
  • Has good knowledge of low-arousal approaches.
  • Has experience with ESL (an independent life) and AAC (alternative augmentative communication).
  • Has knowledge of pedagogical approaches.
  • Has training in handling threats and violence.

It is an advantage if you have a driver's license and experience working with Timecare and Treserva.

You have the interest, will, and ability to help others, and you strive to present solutions. You are calm and secure in pressured and difficult situations. You can balance the demands placed on you and can make well-founded decisions despite time pressure. It is also important that you have the ability to work together with others to perform tasks and achieve goals. You understand the common mission, act based on it, and contribute to the whole. You take responsibility for your and the common tasks with the operation's/users' best interests in focus.
